Payed your property tax? GHMC seal 150 properties against tax defaulters

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has taken decisive measures against property tax defaulters, sealing over 150 properties across the city, predominantly commercial establishments, as disclosed by DC.

These actions were prompted by the significant backlog of property tax dues, amounting to lakhs of rupees. Over the past month, more than 150 properties were sealed in the Kukatpally Zone alone, with additional properties affected in areas such as Jubilee Hills, Yosufguda, and LB Nagar.

In response to this crackdown, residential property owners are urged to utilize the One Time Scheme (OTS) to settle their outstanding dues. This scheme offers a substantial benefit, with the government waiving 90 percent of the accumulated interest on property tax arrears, providing an opportunity for tax resolution.
